Lidl US has issued a recall for all lots of its Taste of Deutschland Buttered Vegetables (10.5 oz box) due to an undeclared milk allergen. The recall affects products with UPC 4 056489 122876 and was initiated after an FDA inspection revealed that the product’s labeling failed to list milk as an ingredient.
People with milk allergies are at risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.
The recall applies to all lots of the product distributed between October 21, 2023, and December 19, 2024, across Lidl US stores located in Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia.
To date, Lidl US has received no reports of illness or allergic reactions linked to the product. However, out of caution, the company is urging all customers who have purchased the Taste of Deutschland Buttered Vegetables to return the product to their nearest Lidl store for a full refund.
No receipt is required for the return.
Lidl US stated that the recall was triggered after an FDA inspection uncovered the labeling issue, which led to the voluntary recall of the affected product. The company emphasized that it takes customer health and safety seriously and remains committed to maintaining the highest quality standards in its products.
In a statement, Lidl US said: “The health and safety of our customers is our top priority. We regret any inconvenience this may cause and thank our loyal customers for their continued trust in us.”
Customers with questions or concerns regarding the recall can contact the Lidl US Customer Care Hotline at (844)-747-5435, available Monday to Saturday, 8 am – 8 pm ET.
Lidl US reassured customers that its Quality Assurance Department is actively working to ensure that all products meet the company’s rigorous standards moving forward.
