A voluntary recall has been issued for Wall Teester Bed Crowns due to a potential safety hazard that could lead to serious injury.
The decorative bed crowns, which are mounted above a bed, feature welded metal tabs designed to attach to mounting brackets on the wall. However, the welded metal tabs used to secure the bed crowns may weaken over time, causing the bed crown to detach from the wall and fall onto those below. This poses a significant injury risk.
About 890 units of the Wall Teester Bed Crowns are affected by the recall, which was announced by Touch of Class, the company responsible for selling the products.
Touch of Class has received at least 10 reports of incidents involving the failure of the mounting tabs. One such incident resulted in the bed crown falling from the wall, causing a minor injury — a scratch to a consumer’s cheek. While the injury was not severe, the company is urging consumers to take immediate action to prevent further accidents.

The affected bed crowns were sold in various styles and colors, all with the same risk of faulty mounting. The following models are included in the recall:
- Valensia Wall Teester Bed Crown (Platinum) – Model AW42, 29 inches x 8.5 inches x 10.5 inches
- Victoriana Wall Teester Bed Crown (Natural Cherry) – Model AT36, 29 inches x 8.5 inches x 10.5 inches
- Viviana Wall Teester Bed Crown (Antique Ivory) – Model AT37, 29 inches x 8.5 inches x 10.5 inches
- Valeria Wall Teester Bed Crown (Aged Gold) – Model AW41, 29 inches x 8.5 inches x 10.5 inches
- Victoria Rose Wall Teester Bed Crown (Antique Ivory and Stain Gold) – Model AW43, 24 inches x 9.5 inches x 9.5 inches
The affected products were sold online at Touchofclass.com and Amazon.com from March 2022 to August 2024 for around $149. Consumers can find the model number printed on the label on the outside of the box.
What Consumers Should Do
Consumers who purchased one of the affected bed crowns are urged to stop using the product immediately. Touch of Class is offering two remedies: a full refund or a free replacement for the recalled item.
To return the product, consumers can contact Touch of Class to arrange for a pick-up, or they can request a prepaid FedEx shipping label to return the item themselves. Once the return is processed, consumers will receive either a replacement bed crown or a refund of $149.
